“You must have stepped right out of my dreams, cause you and I were meant to be...” the smooth baritone voice echoed in the halls of the beautiful Savannah Center of West Chester, Ohio. It was a perfect day. The sun blessed us with it’s warming rays, and the temperature was vacation worthy! Wedding Days are my favorite days, it’s like you can smell the love in the air!
I always like to share my favorite moment from the day, and while there were many from the Barry Wedding, one in particular has stayed with me since the ceremony.
Allow me to set the scene: We're at the ceremony. The bridal party has all entered and taken their places. (They all look like a million bucks, by the way). At the altar stands the officiant, the groom, and myself. I grip my camera tightly in my hands as my eyes dart from the groom to the entry way, to back to the groom again.
As we all anxiously await the arrival of the bride, I turn to the groom to whisper “this is it!”
But Anthony already knew that, because his eyes were locked on the entrance as he waited for his bride to emerge. And as sweet Jasmine made her breathtaking appearance, I turned to capture the groom’s reaction, my heart swelled with joy and mushy happiness as a tear dropped from his eye and rolled down his cheek. And in that moment I said to myself, "THIS man, LOVES this woman! Like he LOVES LOVES her!”
I may have been the only one who saw it, but this sweet moment culminates the Barry Wedding for me. All of that love wrapped up in one tender moment. A celebration of their lives together, and all that is to come for Mr. & Mrs. Barry. The venue was perfect. The dress, the decor, the cuisine, the dancing, the laughter and joy; it was everything it could and should be on such an amazing day!
Anthony and Jasmine, thank you so much for giving me the honor of capturing such important moments of your lives together! From your engagement portraits, to the bridal shower, to your amazing Wedding Day, it’s been my complete pleasure to serve you and your family! My prayer for you is that your lives are rich in love and family and togetherness. I know that God has some amazing things in store for you and I can't wait to continue to watch your beautiful story unfold. You are two of the sweetest souls! I love you both!
